Perception of the quality of life when following a low-carbohydrate diet from a perspective of the Kano model in the context of Self-management

Abstract:

Název mé diplomové práce Vnímání kvality života při dodržování nízkosacharidového stravování perspektivou Kano modelu v kontextu Self-managementu naznačuje hlavní cíl práce. Tím je zjistit spokojenost příznivců tohoto stravování a jeho funkčnost v kontextu self-managementu. Vzhledem k tomu, že metoda Kano modelu jednoznačně definuje atributy kvality, je vhodná ke zpracování tématu mé diplomové práce. Kano model využiji k analýze spokojenosti nízkosacharidově stravujících se lidí na základě zvolených atributů kvality, u kterých budu analyzovat důležitost pro sebeřízení. Výstupem bude zjištění, jak vnímají kvalitu života příznivci tohoto stravování v kontextu self-managementu, jinými slovy, co je důležité při změně stravovacích návyků k lepšímu sebeřízení, wellbeing a self-care. Zmíním také co pacienty motivuje k seberegulaci a sebemonitorování.

Abstract:

The title of the presented diploma thesis, “Perception of quality of life when reducing low-carb eating from the perspective of the Kano model in the Self-management” suggests the main goal of the work, specifically, to determine the satisfaction of the supporters of this diet and its functionality in the context of self-management. Since the Kano model method clearly defines the attributes of quality, it is suitable for processing the topic of this diploma work. I will use the Kano model to analyse the satisfaction of low-carb diet followers based on selected quality attributes and analyse the importance for the self-management. The goal will be to find out how supporters of this diet perceive the quality of their life in the context of self-management, in other words, what factors are important for better self-management, well-being and self-care when changing the eating habits. I will also mention what motivates the patients for self-regulation and self-monitoring.
