Development of the business plan for a new enterprise in small business

Abstract:

The diploma thesis has two major purposes: to examine the theoretical basis of the development of a business plan and apply this knowledge to develop own business. The subject of this study was opening the first store with decorative cosmetics “Inglot” in city Izhevsk. In accordance with the objectives, diploma thesis contains two main part: theoretical and practical parts. Theoretical part consider important theory about business plan such as essence of a business plan a new venture, role of business planning for small and medium enterprises and provide an overview of structure of a business plan. In the section highlighted the need preparing a business plan, because it is an integral part of planning a new business, one of the most important documents developed by the company. During the practical part, which direct focus on development of the business plan for new store the following analyses were applied: the external and internal analysis of the current environment by the SWOT, PESTEL and Porter 5 Forces analysis; industry analyse, competitors analyse, market research and determine target markets by the survey of population. Besides of this, the business plan includes describes of products and services, mix of marketing strategy for new, pricing strategy, promotion and distribution plans. And, by the end of business plan represented financial plan, which includes: tax base, budget, sales forecast, loan, personal plan, break-event point, and three main financial statements as income statement, cash flow statement and balance sheet; calculate NPV and discount payback; timeline; potential project risks.
