Microbial activity at the interface between organic and conventional vineyard

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá doposud získanými poznatky o půdních mikrobiálních aktivitách, jak už obecně, tak i v konkrétním prostředí vinice, tedy trvalého porostu. Tyto informace jsou zpracovány v literárním přehledu. Jsou zde rozebrány vztahy mezi mikroorganismy, rostlinnými kořeny a také neživou půdní složkou. Dále byly popsány odlišnosti ve třech rozdílně obhospodařovaných systémech, a to konkrétně v ekologicky, konvenčně pěstované vinici a také v integrované vinici, která byla zvolena jako přechod mezi těmito dvěma. V praktické části byla v těchto třech systémech obhospodařování stanovena objemová hmotnost půdy, stabilita půdních agregátů, pH, vodivost půdy, orientačně obsah organického uhlíku v půdě, basální respirace mikroorganismů a index dostupnosti dusíku. Díky těmto naměřeným hodnotám bylo možné kriticky zhodnotit, zda předpoklady vyplývající z informací literárního přehledu odpovídají reálné, konkrétní situaci zkoumaných vinic.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the knowledge obtained so far about soil microbial activities, both in general and in the specific environment of a vineyard, i.e. a permanent crop. This information is compiled in a literature review. The relationships between microorganisms, plant roots and the non-living soil component are discussed. Furthermore, the differences in three differently managed systems are described, namely the organic vineyard, the conventionally cultivated vineyard and the integrated vineyard, which was chosen as a transition between the two. In the practical part, soil bulk density, stability of soil aggregates, pH, soil conductivity, soil organic carbon content, basal respiration of microorganisms and nitrogen availability index were determined in these three management systems. With these measured values, it was possible to critically evaluate whether the assumptions made from the information in the literature review correspond to the real, specific situation of the vineyards studied.
