The Relations between Generations and the Importance of Intergenerational Learning in the Contemporary Czech Society

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na vztahy mezi generacemi a význam mezigeneračního učení. V teoretické části se věnujeme mezigeneračnímu soužití v rodině. Charakterizujeme mezigenerační rozdíly z pohledu vývojové psychologie. Zabýváme se mezigenerační solidaritou, mezigeneračními konflikty a ageismem. Popisujeme demografické stárnutí populace. Zaměřujeme se na vysvětlení pojmu mezigenerační učení, na mezigenerační učení v rodině a na mezigenerační kurzy a programy. V praktické části diplomové práce je realizován kvantitativní výzkum, který je proveden technikou dotazníku. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit, jak příslušníci jednotlivých generací vnímají své vzájemné vztahy. Budeme zjišťovat, jak probíhá mezigenerační učení a vzájemná pomoc v rodinách. Objasníme, jaké jsou zkušenosti s věkovou diskriminací a jak lidé vnímají stáří. Na závěr budeme zjišťovat, jaký je zájem o mezigenerační kurzy.

Abstract:

Dissertation is concerned with the relationships between generations and the importance of intergenerational learning. The theoretical part is focused on intergenerational coexistence in the family. We characterize the generational differences in terms of developmental psychology. We concerned intergenerational solidarity, conflict and ageism. We describe the demographic aging of the population. We focus on the explanation of concept of intergenerational learning, intergenerational family learning and courses and programmes. In the practical part of the thesis is realized the research that is carried out a questionnaire. The research aims to find out how members of different generations perceive their relationships. We will investigate how is going on intergenerational learning and mutual assistance in families. We will explain what are the experience with age discrimination and how people perceive old age. In conclusion, we will examine what is the interest of intergenerational courses.
