How foster parents see family foster care

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku náhradní rodinné péče. Cílem práce bylo specifikovat pěstounskou péči. Teoretická část je věnována náhradní rodinné péči, přibližuje její historii a vymezuje formy náhradní rodinné péče. Konkrétněji přibližuje pěstounskou péči a zabývá se procesem získávání dítěte. V poslední kapitole je popisován systém dávek v pěstounské péči. K výzkumnému šetření je použita metoda rozhovoru s vlastními pěstouny. Je zjišťován průběh procesu získávání dítěte, jak se dítě adaptuje po přijetí v nové rodině a jak je přínosný kontakt s biologickou rodinou. Zkoumá potřebnost kontrolní a pomocné služby sociálních pracovníků z orgánu sociálně-právní ochrany dětí a z doprovázející organizace. Poslední okruh je věnován finančnímu zabezpečení pěstounských rodin.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the issue of substitute family care. The aim of the work is to specify foster care. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with substitute family care. It outlines its history and defines the forms of substitute family care. More specifically, it describes foster care and tackles the process of obtaining a child. In the last chapter, the system of benefits in foster care is described. The method of interviewing one's own foster parents is used for the research investigation. The course of the process of obtaining a child is examined as well as the child’s adjusting to a new home and a new family is assessed. The thesis also investigates to what extent the contact with the child’s biological family is beneficial. It examines the need for control and support services of social workers from the body of social and legal protection of children and from the accompanying organization. The last section of the thesis is devoted to the issue of financial security of foster families.
