Imunochemické metody mají široké uplatnění v biochemickém výzkumu i v klinické diagnostice. Běžně využívané metody jsou často omezeny na analýzu ne více než tří antigenů. Spojení vlastností vybraných nanočástic se specifitou protilátek rozpoznávat antigen představuje slibný diagnostický a zobrazovací nástroj.
