Evaluation of the impact of investment subsidies on the performance of companies in the engineering industry

Abstract:

Jakubíčková, K. Zhodnocení vlivu investičních dotací na výkonnost podniků ve strojírenském odvětví. Diplomová práce. Brno: Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2023. Tato diplomové práce se věnuje identifikaci ekonomických efektů spojených s čerpáním investičních dotací v rámci operačního programu Podnikání a inovace pro konkurenceschopnost vybranými podniky ze strojírenského odvětví. Na základě stanovené výzkumné otázky byla provedena literární rešerše věnující se problematice dotací z Evropských fondů a pojetí výkonnosti podniku. K dosažení vymezeného cíle byly využity tradiční i komplexní metody hodnocení výkonnosti podniků, které byly představeny v kapitole věnující se literární rešerši. Výběrový soubor podniků byl analyzován na základě postupů uvedených v metodice této práce a pro následnou interpretaci byly zjištěné hodnoty komparovány s relevantním odvětvím. Výsledná zjištění byla v rámci diskuze konfrontována s výstupy jiných autorů, na základě toho byly vyvozeny závěry této diplomová práce.

Jakubíčková, K. Evaluation of the impact of investment subsidies on the performance of companies in the engineering industry. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. This diploma thesis is focused on the identification of economic effects associated with the investment subsidies within the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness which were obtained by selected businesses within the engineering industry. Based on the definition of the research question was conducted literature research focused on the issue of subsidies from the European funds and the concept of business performance. The traditional and complex methods of business performance evaluation were used to achieve the defined aim of this thesis. These methods were presented in the chapter dedicated to the literature research. The selected group of companies was analysed based on the procedures specified in the methodology of this thesis. For subsequent interpretation of the obtained values a comparison with the relevant industry was made. As part of the discussion, the findings were confronted with the outcome of other authors. Based on that the conclusions of this diploma thesis were defined.
