Financing of small cultural events with an international element

Abstract:

Diplomová práce identifikuje různé možnosti financování malých kulturních akcí s mezinárodním prvkem. Zkoumaná oblast je soustředěna především na hudební a literární akce zmíněného typu, které byly, nebo by mohly být, realizované na území města Brna. První část systematicky zkoumá teorii a pojmy související s problematikou nestátního neziskového sektoru, kulturních politik a organizování malých kulturních akcí s mezinárodním prvkem. Další část podrobně zkoumá různé zdroje financování kulturních projektů a na základě komparace širokého spektra pramenů vybírá a komentuje ty z nich, které jsou vhodné pro financování malé kulturní akce s mezinárodním prvkem. Na tuto část navazuje případová studie malé kulturní akce Dělníci Poezie. Cílem této části je aplikovat všechny poznatky z částí předchozích, identifikovat vhodné zdroje k financování vybrané akce a následně sestavit doporučený model financování.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to determine different options of funding small cultural events with an international element. In the area of interest are mostly music and literary events of the previously specified type, which happened or will happen in the city of Brno. The first part systematically examines the theory and the vocabulary related to the problematics of the non-profit non-nation sector as well as cultural politics and the organization of small cultural events. The second part thoroughly scrutinizes various financial resources for cultural projects and then, on the basis of a wide range of sources comparison, selects and discusses those, which are the most useful for financing a small cultural event with an international element. The third part of this thesis is practical and dedicated to a case study of small cultural event called Dělníci Poezie. The purpose of this part is to use all the knowledge gained from the previous parts, determine the best option of financing the chosen event and build a recommended financing model.
