Diagnostic strategies for children with severe visual and multiple impairments within the context of early childhood care

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to provide a theoretical perspective on the issue of early intervention and related diagnostic strategies for children with visual and multiple disabilities early age and create a base for the research part. The aim of research is the systematic application of some therapeutic range "Observation sheets for children with multiple disabilities" of author Lilli Nielsen and its verification by chosen interventions for early-aged children with severe visual and multiple disabilities in the context of the early intervention. The first chapter is therefore devoted to theoretical issues, defines visual and multiple disabilities, developmental characteristics of early childhood, intervention methods of early intervention, and identifies a specific theoretical background. The content of the second chapter is characteristic of early intervention, territorial comparison of its services, family definitions and specification of the process of the care which is in the families provided. The third chapter contained diagnostic strategies appeal to a systemic approach of Lilli Nielsen. Last, the practical part of the theses is concentrated in the fourth chapter. Through case studies is achieved the research and gives suggestions for further analytical work and brings together recommendations to special needs educational practice.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce je podať teoretický náhľad na problematiku ranej starostlivosti a s ňou spojených diagnostických stratégií u dieťaťa so zrakovým a viacnásobným postihnutím raného veku a vytvoriť tak bázu pre spracovanie empirickej časti práce. Výskumným cieľom práce je systematická aplikácia vybranej diagnostickej škály „Pozorovacie hárky pre deti s viacnásobným postihnutím“ autorky Lilli Nielsen a jej overenie na základe volených intervencií u dieťaťa s ťažkým zrakovým a viacnásobným postihnutím raného veku v kontexte procesu ranej starostlivosti. Prvá kapitola práce sa preto venuje teoretickým východiskám, definuje zrakové a viacnásobné postihnutie, vývinovú charakteristiku raného detstva, intervenčné metódy práce a identifikuje špecifiká teoretických východísk. Obsahom druhej kapitoly je charakteristika ranej starostlivosti, územná komparácia služieb, charakteristika rodiny a špecifikácia procesu ranej pomoci rodinám. V tretej kapitole sú obsiahnuté diagnostické stratégie s apelom na systémový prístup Lilli Nielsen. Posledná, empirická časť práce, sa sústreďuje vo štvrtej kapitole. Prostredníctvom prípadových štúdií dosahuje výskumný cieľ a dáva podnety k ďalšej analytickej práci a združuje odporúčania do špeciálnopedagogickej praxe.
