Comparison of the processes of European integration of Visegrad Group

Abstract:

Cílem práce je komparace evropských integračních procesů čtyř zemí ? České republiky, Polska, Slovenské republiky a Maďarska, tedy zemí tzv. Visegrádské čtyřky. Politická situace, včetně hospodářství těchto zemí prošla za posledních několik dekád výraznými změnami, proto se domníváme, že tato komparace procesů evropské integrace může přinést zajímavé výsledky. Jakkoliv se tyto procesy mohou jevit jako zákonité, jednosměrné, předvídatelné a jasně směřující k cíli integrace, vývoj mohl probíhat i po jiné linii, přičemž důsledky toho vývoje si lze dnes jen těžko představit. Základní hypotézu, kterou se budu v práci snažit potvrdit nebo vyvrátit, formuluji jako tvrzení, že integrační procesy krajin středovýchodní Evropy se vyznačují jistými shodnými znaky.

Abstract:

The aims of this thesis are focused on theme of comparison of European integration processes of four countries - the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovak Republic and Hungary, countries of the Visegrad Four. Political developments, including the economies of these countries pass through significant changes in the last decade; therefore, I suppose that the comparison process of European integration may bring interesting results. I also suppose that although these processes may seem to be inevitable, patterned, predictable and heading to integration, development could take other line, whereas the consequences of development, we can now hardly imagine. The basic hypothesis, which I will try to confirm or disprove, I formulate as statement, that the integration processes of Central European countries are characterized by certain identical characteristics. This thesis describes important periods of Changes in foreign policy of Visegrad´s Four countries from 1989 to 1994, application for membership and access negotiations, accesssion Treaty and referendums and finally accession to Schengen area and adopting processes of Euro.
