Basket-ball - study of the Czech-French terminology

Abstract:

My work deals with basketball and its French and Czech terminology. It is divided into three parts - theoretical, practical and didactic. History, competitions and a game itself, that means a description of a playground, facilities and rules of basketball are described in the theoretical part. We can find French basketball terminology with definitions of terms and a translation into Czech language in the practical part. The second part is created with English terms and their French equivalents and expressions which French sports commentators use. Czech-French and French-Czech vocabulary is a constituent of an enclosure. The didactic part is formed with didactic notes which concern basketball and go out from its vocabulary. The aim of my work is a comparison of Czech and French basketball, both from the point of view its development and systems, and mainly terminology.

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá basketbalem a jeho francouzskou a českou terminologií. Je členěna do tří částí - teoretická, praktická a didaktická. V části teoretické je popsána historie, soutěže a samotná hra, tj. popis hřiště, týmu, vybavení a pravidla basketbalu. V části praktické nalezneme francouzskou basketbalovou terminologii s definicí pojmů a překladem do českého jazyka. Druhá část je tvořena anglicismy a jejich francouzskými ekvivalenty a výrazy, které používají francouzští sportovní komentátoři. Česko-francouzský a francouzsko-český slovníček je součástí přílohy. Část didaktická je tvořena didaktickými listy, které se týkají basketbalu a vychází z jeho slovní zásoby. Cílem práce je komparace českého a francouzského basketbalu, jak z hlediska jeho vývoje a systémů, tak především terminologie.
