Surfing through the prism of the carnal method
Abstract:
Diplomová práca sa zaoberá surfingom ako fyzickou aktivitou, športom a subkultúrou. Výskum vychádza z karnálnej sociológie Loica Wacquanta. Skrze skúsenosť cez vlastné telo zachytáva a popisuje život, každodennú realitu a habitusy surfera. Popisuje sociálnu dynamiku subkultúry. Výskum vychádza z autorových skúseností z okolia Fara a Porta v Portugalsku.
Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with surfing as a physical activity, sport and a subculture. The research proceeds from the carnal sociology of Loica Wacquant. Through experience of one's own body it captures and describes the surfer's life, every day's reality and a habitus. It delineates subculture's social dynamics.
