Scope of this bachelor work is the production of Verdi. It deals rather with its literal than musicological value. One part is dedicated to Verdi's biography and summary of Verdi's main works. Further it treats of the word-book itself, the author's relation with librettists, creators of literal artworks and their mutual co-operation. Bakalářská práce se zabývá Verdiho tvorbou. Nejedná se o rozbor z hlediska muzikologie, ale posuzuje se zde spíše literární hodnota díla. Část práce je věnována životopisu a shrnutí hlavních Verdiho děl. Dále se pojednává o libretu jako takovém, o vztahu autora s libretisty, tvůrci literárních předloh, a o jejich vzájemné spolupráci.
