Pleoptic therapy as a means of treating amblyopia

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na téma pleoptické terapie jako prostředku léčby tupozrakosti u dětí předškolního věku. Cílem práce je analyzovat progres a účinnost pleoptických cvičení u dětí předškolního věku pomocí didaktických pomůcek, z nichž některé byly navrženy a vyrobeny cíleně pro potřeby tohoto pozorování. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V prvních třech kapitolách je zpracován teoretický základ, který se především věnuje poruchám binokulárního vidění, výchově a vzdělávání dětí se zrakovým postižením a zejména pleoptické terapii a metodám reedukace. Čtvrtá kapitola má praktický charakter. Popisuje sledovanou skupinu dětí s tupozrakostí a zpracovává pozorování progresu úrovně jemné a pohybové pleoptiky. Z pozorování vyplynulo, že všechny sledované děti zaznamenaly zlepšení v úrovni pohybové koordinace, barvocitu, zrakové fixace, koordinace oko-ruka, orientace na ploše a zrakové paměti.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the topic of pleoptic therapy as a means of treatment amblyopia in children of preschool age. The goal of the work is to analyze progress and efficiency of pleoptic exercises for children of preschool age using didactic aids, of which some were designed and built specifically for the needs of this observation. The work is divided into four chapters. The first three chapters deal with the theoretical foundation, which mainly deals with binocular vision disorders, education and training children with visual impairments and especially pleoptic therapy and methods of re-education. The fourth the chapter has a practical character. Describes the monitored group of children with amblyopia and processes the observation of the progression of the level of fine and movement pleoptics. The observation showed that all the monitored children recorded an improvement in their level movement coordination, color perception, visual fixation, eye-hand coordination, orientation on the surface and visual memoory.
