Perspectives of organizing EURO 2020

Abstract:

Moje diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou pořádání fotbalového mistrovství Evropy v roce 2020. Hlavním cílem této práce je zmapovat a popsat města a stadiony, které připadají v úvahu jako místa vhodná pro konání jednotlivých utkání EURO 2020. Práce se v počátku zaměřuje na fotbal jako takový a jeho vývoj v čase. Dále je práce zaměřena na makroekonomické efekty a dopady, které pořádání fotbalového mistrovství vytváří. Práce rovněž pojednává o vývoji herního systému, který prochází neustálým vývojem, a srovnává herní systémy v rozmezí od EURO 2012 do EURO 2020. V osmé a deváté kapitole diplomová práce rozebírá některé aspekty potřebné k výstavbě stadiónů podle norem organizace UEFA. Závěrečné shrnutí dává ucelený pohled na problematiku pořádání EURO 2020.

Abstract:

My Master thesis deals with the aspects regarding the organizing of the European Football Championship in the year 2020 -- the EURO 2020. The main aim of this work is to map out and characterize the cities and stadiums which are under consideration as the sites suitable for organizing the individual matches on the EURO 2020. The dissertation describes the early dawning of football and its development over time as well. The author of this dissertation pays attention to some main macroeconomic effects and impacts generated by organizing the football championship. Simultaneously, the work discusses the development of the play system itself, for it is also undergoing a permanent evolution, and compares play systems since the Euro 2012 to the Euro 2020. Some aspects needed for the construction of stadiums in accordance with the UEFA standards are discussed in the eighth and ninth chapters of this dissertation. The final summary provides a comprehensive view of the issues regarding the organizing of the EURO 2020.
