Differentiation of Border Rural Municipalities in Czechia

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá procesem transformace příhraničních venkovských obcí v Česku po roce 1990. Od tohoto roku se zde hodnotí socioekonomické poměry těchto obcí na území celého Česka. V první části práce je představen historický vývoj českého pohraničí a jsou diskutovány sociální a ekonomické změny v českém pohraničí v období před rokem 1990 a následně v období restrukturalizace, které měly určující vliv na rozvoj obcí a života zdejších obyvatel, ale také hraniční efekty převládající v českém pohraničí. V empirické části je hodnocen vývoj jednotlivých socioekonomických ukazatelů na úrovni jednotlivých venkovských příhraničních obcí, které se zaměřují na vybrané demografické, sídelní, dopravní a ekonomické aspekty, s jejichž pomocí se následně hodnotí jejich prostorové rozmístění a důvody tohoto rozmístění.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the process of transformation of border rural municipalities in Czechia after 1990. Since this year, the socio-economic conditions of these municipalities throughout the Czechia have been evaluated. The first part presents the historical development of the Czech borderland and discusses the social and economic changes in the Czech borderland in the period before 1990 and subsequently in the restructuring period, which had a decisive influence on the development of municipalities and life of the local population. The empirical part evaluates the development of individual socio-economic indicators at the level of individual rural border municipalities, which focus on selected demographic, residential, traffic and economic aspects, which are then used to evaluate their spatial distribution and the reasons for this location.
