Working with Children with Asperger's syndrome in a Group of Drama Workshop Participants

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi využití metod a technik dramatické výchovy při práci se skupinou dětí s diagnózou Aspergerova syndromu. Je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické části jsou představeny paradivadelní systémy, blíže pak dramatická výchova, dramaterapie a jejich vzájemné porovnání. Dále je věnován prostor Aspergerovu syndromu: diagnostickým kritériím, popisu symptomů a zásadám práce s dětmi s touto diagnózou. Jsou shrnuty dosavadní poznatky o možnosti využití paradivadelních systémů při práci s jedinci s Aspergerovým syndromem. Jako poslední je věnován prostoru Centru terapie autismu, ve kterém autorka práce působí a ve kterém byla realizována dramatickovýchovná dílna. Praktická část se věnuje dramatickovýchovné dílně pro skupinu dětí s Aspergerovým syndromem a dětí z intaktní populace. Je charakterizována skupina, která se projektu zúčastnila, přiblíženy inspirační zdroje pro přípravu dílny a následně popsána její celá realizace. Práci uzavírá závěrečná reflexe.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis explores the possibilities of using methods and techniques of drama in education when working with a group of children diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the para-theatrical systems are introduced, with emphasis on drama in education, drama therapy and their comparison with each other. Next, it covers the topic of Asperger's syndrome: diagnostic criteria, description of symptoms and principles of working with children with this diagnosis. The current knowledge about the possibility of using para-theatre systems in working with individuals with Asperger's syndrome is summarized. Lastly, the Centre for Therapy of Autism, where the author of the thesis works and where the drama-educational workshop was implemented, is described. The practical deals with the drama-educational workshop for a group of children with Asperger's syndrome and children from the intact population. The group that participated in the project is characterized, the sources of inspiration for the preparation of the workshop are presented, and then the whole implementation is described. The paper concludes with a final reflection.
