Variability of movement and the relationship between centre of pressure and centre of gravity during handstand

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá vztah mezi polohou těžiště těla (CoM) a působištěm síly (CoP) během stoje na rukou u tří gymnastek. Udržení rovnováhy je klíčovým aspektem řízení během lidské lokomoce a vyžaduje součinnost proprioceptivního, zrakového a vestibulárního systému (Kerwin, Trewartha, 2001). Stoj na rukou, jako základní dovednost v gymnastice, představuje ideální prostředí pro studium mechanismů udržení rovnováhy a stabilizace polohy těla (Asseman, Gahery, 2005). Cílem této práce je provést koordinační analýzu vztahu mezi CoM a CoP během stoje na rukou. Výsledky této analýzy poskytují důležité informace o dynamice vztahu mezi CoM a CoP během stoje na rukou a mohou přispět k lepšímu pochopení posturální regulace a strategiím kontroly během této činnosti. Tyto poznatky mohou být využity k vylepšení tréninkových programů a prevenci zranění v oblasti gymnastiky a dalších sportů vyžadujících podobné pohybové dovednosti. Výsledky této práce by mohly sloužit jako základ pro další výzkum v oblasti biomechaniky a dynamiky rovnováhy při stoj na rukou. Také by mohly přispět k rozšíření našeho pochopení mechanismů udržení rovnováhy a významu této dovednosti pro sportovní výkon a zdraví.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis looks into the relationship between the position of the centre (CoM) and the centre of force (CoP) during handstands in three female gymnasts. Maintaining balance is a key aspect of control during human locomotion and requires the interaction of proprioceptive, visual and vestibular systems (Kerwin and Trewartha, 2001). Handstand, as a fundamental skill in gymnastics, provides an ideal setting to study the mechanisms of maintaining balance and stabilization of body position (Asseman, Gahery, 2005). The aim of this study is to conduct a coordination analysis of the relationship between CoM and CoP during handstand. The results of this analysis provide important information about the dynamics of the relationship between CoM and CoP during handstand and may contribute to a better understanding of postural regulation and control strategies during this activity. These findings can be used to improve training programs and injury prevention in gymnastics and other sports requiring similar movement skills. The results of this work could serve as a basis for further research in the biomechanics and dynamics of balance during handstands. They could also contribute to expanding our understanding of the mechanisms of balance maintenance and the importance of this skill to athletic performance and health.
