The alphabet inspired by folk patterns of Čičmany
Abstract:
The aim of the diploma thesis is to design and create an alphabet based on the folk ornaments typical for slovak village Čičmany. Thereafter, a font is made from this alphabet. First part of the thesis deals with an ornament, focusing on the ornemant of Čičmany and documents the making of the alphabet and other chosen glyphs. Abstract:
Predmetom diplomovej práce je návrh a tvorba abecedy podľa ľudových ornamentov typických pre architektúru slovenskej obce Čičmany. Z abecedy je následne vytvorený font. Prvá časť práce sa zaoberá ornamentom, bližšie rozoberá čičminsky ornament a dokumentuje tvorbu abecedy a ďalších vybraných znakov.
