Immunotoxicity

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá imunotoxicitou. Imunotoxicita je míra vlivu některých chemických látek nebo fyzikálních vlivů na imunitní systém, tyto látky nazýváme imunotoxikanty. Účinky imunotoxikantů se projeví například imunosupresí, která může přispívat k rozvoji rakoviny, nebo imunostimulací, která by mohla vést k rozvoji autoimunitních onemocnění a alergií. V práci je uveden přehled vybraných imunutoxikantů a mechanismy jejich účinku. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny možnosti testování imunotoxicity.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is dealing with immunotoxicity. Immunotoxicity is an ability of certain chemical or physical effects to influence immune system, we call these substances immunotoxicants. The effects of immunotoxicants are shown in immunosuppression, which can contribute to development of cancer or immunostimulation which contribute to development of autoimmune diseases and allergies. This thesis features an overview of the selected immunotoxicants and their mechanisms of action. In the conclusion of the thesis there is a list of options which can be used while testing immunotoxicity.
