Předměty vyrobené z usně jsou nedílnou součástí muzejních i jiných sbírek. Useň jako organický materiál si žádá pravidelné a komplexní konzervátorské zásahy. Základním konzervátorským zásahem u usní je jejich tukování. Složkou tukovacích směsí jsou i vosky, které na povrchu usně vytvářejí ochranný film. Leather products are the integral part of museum and other collections. Leather as an organic material needs regular and complex conservation, which could prevent the degradation of leather. The basic part of leather conservation is the greasing of leather. Waxes included in greasing mixtures create the protective film on the leather surface.
