Tato práce se zabývá zobrazením draků ve vybraných literárních dílech. Nejprve je stručně představena role draků v mytologii, folkloru a staroanglické literatuře. Analytická část se poté soustředí na zobrazení hlavních charakteristik draků v kontextu archetypální kritiky, přičemž důraz je kladen především na genderové aspekty ilustrovaných dračích příběhů. Abstract:
This thesis deals with the portrayal of dragons in selected literary works. Firstly, the role of dragons in mythology, folklore, and Old English literature is briefly introduced. The analytical part then focuses on the portrayal of the main characteristics of dragons in the context of archetypal criticism, while the emphasis is predominantly on the gendered aspects of exemplified dragon tales.
