Abstract:

Diplomová práce Motivační faktory napříč generacemi: Role flexibility a work-life balance ve srovnání generací Y a Z se zaměřuje na pracovní motivační faktory příslušníků generace Y a Z, přičemž klíčovou roli přisuzuje flexibilitě práce a rovnováze mezi pracovním a osobním živobytím (work-life balance). Cílem je analyzovat, jak tyto prvky ovlivňují motivaci v současném pracovním prostředí, a zároveň identifikovat rozdíly ve vnímané hodnotě flexibility a work-life balance mezi oběma generacemi. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy, které souvisejí s pracovní motivací a generační rozmanitostí na pracovišti. Současně charakterizuje specifika generace Y a generace Z a přibližuje význam flexibility práce a work-life balance v kontextu moderního pracovního prostředí. Praktická část je založena na systematické literární rešerši realizované podle metodiky PRISMA, doplněna případovou studií, realizovanou formou dotazníkového šetření ve vybrané společnosti. Zjištění naznačují, že pracovní flexibilita a možnost sladit práci s osobním životem představují podstatné motivační faktory. Tyto prvky jsou důležité pro obě generace, avšak generace Z jim zpravidla přisuzuje větší váhu.

Abstract:

The Diploma thesis Motivational Factors Across Generations: The Role of Flexibility and Work-Life Balance in a Comparison of Generations Y and Z focuses on the work-related motivational factors of members of Generations Y and Z, attributing a key role to work flexibility and work-life balance. The aim is to analyze how these elements influence motivation in the current work environment, while also identifying differences in the perceived value of flexibility and work-life balance between the two generations. The theoretical section defines basic concepts related to work motivation and generational diversity in the workplace. It also characterizes the specific traits of Generation Y and Generation Z and explains the importance of work flexibility and work-life balance in the context of the modern workplace. The practical section is based on a systematic literature review conducted according to the PRISMA methodology, supplemented by a case study carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey at a selected company. The findings suggest that work flexibility and the ability to balance work with personal life are significant motivational factors. These elements are important for both generations, but Generation Z generally places greater emphasis on them.
