Lottery as a tool for sport financing in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the change of the Lottery Law (Act No 202/1990 Coll. on Lotteries and other similar Games) and the issue of distributing the levy of this games. Distribution and principles of construction are fundamentally changed by the amendment. The system in the Czech Republic is compared with the system in Slovakia. The aim of this work is to identify the impact of changes to the law to promote sport at municipal level, compare the results with the practice in Slovakia and to make recommendations for municipalities in the country. The results of the work are summarized in a recommendation to change the law on lotteries and other similar games.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca je zameraná na zmenu zákona o lotériách a iných podobných hrách a na problematiku odvodov z lotérie. Ich rozpočtové určenie ako aj princípy konštrukcie sa zásadne zmenili spomínanou zmenou. Aktuálny stav v Českej republike je porovnávaný so systémom na Slovensku. Cieľom práce je identifikovať dopady zmeny zákona na podporu športu na obecnej úrovni, komparovať výsledky s praxou na Slovensku a formulovať odporúčanie pre obce v ČR. Výsledky práce sú zhrnuté do odporúčania k zmene zákona o lotériách a iných podobných hrách.
