Silesian noriker or Noriker?

Abstract:

Souhrn Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda je slezský norik jedinečné české plemeno, či zda je totožné s plemenem norik. Bakalářská práce přináší náhled na rozdílnost mezi typem chladnokrevných koní slezský norik a norik. Práce se postupně zaměřuje na historii těchto plemen, jejich šlechtěním, rozdíly, počtem i možností využití. Začátek práce se zaměřuje na historii plemene i jeho postupným vznikem. Každé plemeno má popsaný svůj vývoj i jeho postupné utváření v rámci jeho historie. Kromě historického kontextu a rozdílnosti tělesných proporcí u obou sledovaných plemen, je zcela zásadní jejich genetická rozdílnost. Této problematice se věnovalo několik studií, jejich výsledky jsou blíže popsané v genetické části. Dnes slezský norik a norik se velmi úzce podobají, což je potvrzeno nejen exteriérem a tělesnými proporcemi, ale především studiemi z oblasti genetiky. Poslední část práce je zaměřena na početní stavy koní až do dnešní doby, které jsou graficky znázorněny a je tudíž na nich poznat, jak se počty těchto plemen v průběhu času měnily. Závěr práce se zaměřuje na využití těchto plemen a jejich využití v různých oblastech. Z uvedených poznatků vyplývá, že dnes jsou chladnokrevníci užíváni především pro práci v lese a agroturistiku či rekreační ježdění. Státní lesnická politika však začíná více klást důraz na trvale udržitelné hospodaření, tudíž bude jejich role v českém lesním hospodářství pravděpodobně více rozhodující a nezaměnitelná.

Abstract:

Summary The main aim of the thesis was to determine whether the Silesian noriker is a unique Czech breed, or if it is identical to the Noriker. The Bachelor’s thesis discusses the difference between two breeds of coldblood horses: the Silesian noriker and the Noriker. The thesis explores their history, their breeding, the differences, population and possible uses. The first part of the thesis focuses on the history of the breed and its origins. Every breed has evolved gradually. In addition to the historical context and the difference in body proportions of both breeds, the crucial factor is their genetic similarity. Several studies were made of their genes, the results of which are summarised in the chapter on genetics. The Silesian noriker and Noriker breeds that we know today are very similar not only in terms of their overall look and proportions, but in particular in their genetics. The final part of the thesis examines the development of the population of these horses throughout history; the population is shown in charts which clearly illustrate the changes over time. In the conclusion, the thesis discusses potential uses of these breeds in various areas. Available information shows that coldblooded horses are used today mainly in forestry, agrotourism and for recreational riding. However, given that the state forestry policy increasingly emphasises sustainable management, the role of these horses in Czech forestry will probably become far more important and irreplaceable.
