The topic of this thesis is Superstar effect in Sport, specifically evidence from the NHL. The first section is dedicated to theoretical resources of the problem of an athlete earnings determination, which is dependent on different characteristics. Témou tejto diplomovej práce je Superstar efekt v športe, konkrétne evidencia z NHL. V prvej časti sa venujem teoretickým východiskám problematiky determinácie platu športovca v závislosti od rôznych charakteristík.
