Tato magisterská práce se zabývá problematikou překladu kultury, konkrétně překladu kultury kanadských indiánů do češtiny. Analyzuje roli kultury v románu Eden Robinsonové Monkey Beach a vymezuje zvolenou překladovou strategii. Práce je doplněna ukázkou překladu románu.Abstract:
The thesis focuses on translation of culture, specifically translation of Native Canadian culture into Czech. It analyses the role of culture in Eden Robinson’s novel Monkey Beach and defines translation strategy. The thesis includes a sample translation of a passage of the novel.
