Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce s názvem Rekonstrukce Grossmanova Procesu v interpretačním kontextu 60. let přináší představu o zásadní inscenaci díla Franze Kafky v historii českého divadla. První část je zaměřena na popsání politického, společenského a kulturního kontextu období konce padesátých, ale především let šedesátých. Dále čtenáře seznamuje s recepcí díla Franze Kafky v českém prostředí a popisuje změnu, která nastala po konání Liblické konference v roce 1963, jakožto i konferenci samotnou. V druhé části práce z dochovaných materiálů rekonstruuje podobu inscenace Kafkova Procesu z roku 1966, v režii Jana Grossmana. V práci jsou popsány jednotlivé složky inscenace, její interpretace a vyzdvihnuty aspekty Grossmanovy režijní práce. Nakonec je tato adaptace Procesu zařazena do linie tvorby Divadla Na zábradlí, jež byla v šedesátých letech zaměřena především na divadlo absurdní, potažmo apelativní. V souvislosti s tím tedy práce ony prvky absurdna a apelativnosti Procesu charakterizuje. V neposlední řadě jsou v práci shrnuty některé úvahy Jana Grossmana o literatuře a divadle obecně, ale především o osobnosti a díle Franze Kafky.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s diploma thesis titled The reconstruction of Grossman’s The Trial in the context of interpretation in 1960s brings the notion of theatrical adaptation of novel by Franz Kafka, which is crucial in the history of Czech theatre. The first part is focused on the description of political, social and cultural context of the late fifties, but mainly the context of the sixties. It acquaints readers with the reception of work of Franz Kafka in the Czech Republic and it describes the change which came after The Liblice conference in 1963, as well as the conference itself. In the second part, the diploma thesis uses the available materials and reconstructs the form of the production of The Trial in 1966, which was directed by Jan Grossman. There is the detailed delineation of individual components of production, its interpretations and it also emphasizes the aspects of Grossman’s directorial work. The adaptation of The Trial is finally placed on the line of productions in Divadlo Na zábradlí, which was focused on The Theatre of the Absurd, or “appellative“ theatre during the sixties. In this connection, the diploma thesis defines these absurd and appellative features of The Trial. Lastly, there is a summery of Grossman‘s generally thinking about theatre and literature, but especially about work of Franz Kafka and his personality.
