Tar spot Rhytisma acerinum associated with maple trees on the chosen localities of North Moravian-Silezian region

Abstract:

Svraštělka javorová Rhytisma acerinum (Pers.) Fr. je vřeckovýtrusá houba způsobující černou skvrnitost listů javorů Acer spp. Její výskyt je často spojován s nízkým znečištěním ovzduší a bývá tedy považována za bioindikátor. Tato práce se zabývá zhodnocením výskytu svraštělky v závislosti na koncentracích NO2 a suspendovaných částic PM10 a dalších faktorech. Terénní výzkum probíhal na území statutárního města Ostravy, statutárního města Havířova, města Vsetína a obce Stěbořice, byla získána data z celkem 4317 stromů. Data byla statisticky otestována, byla prokázána závislost výskytu svraštělky javorové na typu stanoviště, stáří hostitelského stromu a taxonu javoru. Svraštělka javorová byla zaznamenána na Acer campestre L., Acer platanoides L. a na Acer pseudoplatanus L., stejně jako na většině jejich kultivarů. Nejvíce napadaným taxonem byl Acer pseudoplatanus. Závislost výskytu svraštělky na průměrných koncentracích NO2 a PM10 nebyla prokázána.

Abstract:

Rhytisma acerinum (Pers.) Fr. is an ascomycete fungus causing tar spot of maple, Acer spp. Its occurrence is often associated with low air pollution levels and therefore it is considered as a bioindicator. This thesis focuses on evaluating the occurrence of tar spot in dependence on mean concentrations of NO2 and particulate matter PM10 and some other factors. The field research was carried out at the area of statutory City of Ostrava, statutory City of Havířov, town Vsetín and village Stěbořice and data from 4317 trees in total were acquired. Statistical analysis proved the dependence of the occurrence of tar spot on habitat type, host tree age and maple taxon. Tar spot was recorded on Acer campestre L., Acer platanoides L. and Acer pseudoplatanus L. as well as on most of their cultivars. The most infected taxon was Acer pseudoplatanus. The dependence of occurrence of tar spot on NO2 and PM10 mean concentrations was not proved.
