Motivation of Employees as a Management Tool in the Company

Abstract:

Obsahem této práce je problematika motivace jedince z pohledu firmy. V teoretické části je čerpáno z odborné literatury zaměřené na psychologii a na motivaci obecně i se specializací na pracovní oblast. Praktická část je zaměřena na motivaci zaměstnanců ČSOB, a.s.. Práce je rozčleněna do šesti kapitol. První kapitola objasňuje často skloňované pojmy této práce. Druhá kapitola je zaměřená na vnější a vnitřní faktory, které ovlivňují řízení firmy. Ve třetí kapitole jsou detailně řešeny pojmy motivace, manipulace, stimulace a rozdíly mezi nimi. Čtvrtá kapitola popisuje šest nejznámějších teorií motivace. Pátá kapitola se zabývá možnostmi, jak lze zaměstnance motivovat. Poslední kapitola je o provedeném dotazníkovém šetření a jeho výsledcích.Z informací dostupných v literatuře i z dotazníkového šetření vyplynulo, že motivace zaměstnanců velmi úzce souvisí s finanční odměnou, a že finanční odměna je jednou z nejčastěji užívaných a také nejčastěji očekávaných forem motivace. Všechny ostatní formy motivace jsou více či méně motivující, ale téměř jistý úspěch procesu motivace s sebou přináší peníze poskytnuté motivovanému v jakékoliv formě. Výsledkem práce je zmapování motivace jako jedné z nejdůležitějších činností vedení firmy. Jde o objasnění různých způsobů a teorií motivace, teoretický i praktický pohled na efektivitu motivace a vyhodnocení současného stavu v ČSOB, a.s. podloženým reálnými výsledky.

Abstract:

The contents of this work are an individual`s motivation problems from the company´s perspective. The theoretical part is derived from literature focusing on psychology and on motivation in general and with specialisation in the work area. The practical part is aimed at motivating employees of CSOB Inc.The work is divided into six chapters. The first chapter explains the often inflected notions of this work. The second chapter focuses on external and internal factors that influence the company management. The third chapter deals with the concept of motivation, manipulation, stimulation and the differences between them in detail.The fourth chapter describes the six most well-known theories of motivation. The fifth chapter looks at ways you can motivate your employees. The last chapter is about the performed questionnaire survey and its results. The information from literature and the questionnaire survey showed that the employees´motivation is closely linked with financial reward (renumeration) and that this reward is one of the most widely used and also the most expected forms of motivation. All other forms of motivation are more or less motivating, but without doubt money in any form is the most successful tool in the motivating process. The result of this work is that researching employee motivation is one of the most important activities of the company management. This is a clarification of various methods and theories of motivation. Theoretical and practical perspective on the effectivness of motivation and evaluation of the current state of the CSOB Inc. based on real results.
