Influence of natural products of dental hygiene on the microbiome of the oral cavity

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá účinkem přírodních prostředků dentální hygieny (konkrétně ústních vod) na mikrobiom dutiny ústní. Teoretická část pojednává o složení ústního mikrobiomu a faktorech, které jej ovlivňují, o účinných látkách syntetických ústních vod a o ústních vodách využívající přírodní extrakty. Dále také popisuje faktory ovlivňující mikrobiom dutiny ústní, ať už se jedná o věk, kouření, stravu nebo právě osobní ústní hygienu. Praktická část se zaměřuje na porovnání účinků ústních vod využívající syntetické a přírodní látky. Práce dospívá ke kritickému zhodnocení jejich vlivu na mikrobiom dutiny ústní.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis focuses on the effect of natural dental hygiene products (specifically mouthwashes) on the oral microbiome. The theoretical part discusses the composition of the oral microbiome and the factors that influence it, the active ingredients of synthetic mouthwashes and mouthwashes using natural extracts. It also describes the factors affecting the oral microbiome, whether it is age, smoking or personal oral hygiene. The practical part focuses on the comparing the effect of mouthwashes using synthetic and natural extracts. The bachelor´s thesis concludes with a critical evaluation of their impact on the oral microbiome.
