FAR SIDE OF BEING GIFTED

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce propojuje sociální a speciální pedagogiku. Pojednává o začlenění intelektově nadaných dětí mladšího školního věku do běžného kolektivu na základní škole. Je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou a praktickou. Cílem teoretické části této práce je vymezit podstatu pojmu nadání, charakteristické projevy intelektově nadaných dětí v období mladšího školního věku, dále potom determinanty sociálního prostředí a vzdělávání intelektově nadaných dětí na základní škole. Cílem praktické části práce je zjistit pozici intelektově nadaných dětí v rámci kolektivu běžné třídy na prvním stupni základní školy. Pro naplnění cíle byl zvolen kvantitativní výzkum realizovaný sociometrickou metodou. Výsledky výzkumu prokázaly, že nadané děti nezaujímají jednotnou sociální pozici v kolektivu. Mohou být v kolektivu jak oblíbené, tak odmítané. Mimo jiné byly odhaleny i extrémní pozice v kolektivu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis connects social and special pedagogy, focusing on the integration of intellectually gifted children of younger school age into the mainstream class of a primary school. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The aim of the theoretical part is to define the concept of the term giftedness, characteristic manifestations of intellectually gifted children in the period of younger school age, as well as the determinants of the social environment and education of intellectually gifted children in primary schools. The aim of the practical part is to reveal the position of intellectually gifted children in the mainstream class during the first grade of primary school. In order to achieve this goal, a quantitative research was conducted using the sociometric method. The results of the research demonstrated that gifted children do not occupy a unified social position in the class. They can be both popular and rejected within the class. Moreover, extreme positions in the class were also revealed.
