Darknet – fiction or reality of anonymity in Tor hidden services and bitcoin systém

Abstract:

Obsahem práce je výzkum fenoménu zvaného Darknet, především části tohoto šedého média, které je tvořeno skrytými servery projektu Tor a dalšími softwary fungujícími na základě Onion Routingu. Práce se zaměřuje na nejrůznější typy těchto serverů, jako například Silk Road, známé online komerční tržiště s ilegálním zbožím. Mapuje historii a změnu chování online komunit v kryptosvětě, nejenom z pohledu vnější sítě, ale i ze strany uživatelů samotných. Další částí výzkumu je otázka funkčnosti a bezpečnosti anonymity, která tvoří klíčový faktor a je hlavní reflexí Darknetu. Hlavní teze práce se opírají o anonymní komunikaci, virtuální aktivismus, kryptoměnu bitcoin, online sociální komunitu. To vše pod záštitou skrytých serverů.

Abstract:

This work contains research on the phenomenon called Darknet, especially the part of this gray media, which consists of Tor hidden services and other software operating on the basis of the Onion Routing. The work focuses on a wide variety of these types of servers, such as the Silk Road, the famous online commercial marketplace with illegal goods. It charts the history and behavior change in crypto world of online communities, not only from the view of the external network, but also by the users themselves. Another part of the research is the question of functionality and safety of anonymity that is a key factor and is the leading reflection of the Darknet. The main thesis of the work is based on anonymous communications, virtual activism, cryptocurrency bitcoin and online social network. All this under the auspices of hidden servers.
