Abstract:
The aim of the present dissertation is to compare and contrast the position of Vita Wilfridi among early Medieval Anglo-Latin hagiographies of the 8th century, namely the two prosaic legends - Vita Cuthberti anonyma and Vita Cuthberti auctore Beda, based on the analysis of hagiographical elements, typology, lexicon, morphology, syntax and style.
