The impact of sanctions on the Russian economy and their impact on the population

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zvážit důvody vzniku sankcí a posoudit dopad uplatněných sankcí vůči Rusku a jeho kontrasankcí na ekonomiku a kvalitu života obyvatel Ruska. Kromě toho je třeba posoudit účinnost uplatňování sankcí z historického hlediska, abychom pochopili, zda jsou sankce skutečně účinným nástrojem a zda je státy používají k dosažení svých politických cílů. V první kapitole jsem popsala teorii sankcí a historii jejich vzniku, dále jsem popsala jejich klasifikaci a studovala konkrétní typy sankcí v historii a účel jejich aplikace. Ve druhé kapitole se podívám na základní příčiny sankcí proti Rusku a jejich důsledky. Ve třetí kapitole, která je koncipována jako případová studie, jsem provedla průzkum změn v kvalitě života Rusů a jejich vzorcích spotřeby s cílem posoudit škody způsobené sankcemi vůči ruské populaci. V závěrečné kapitole byly zváženy scénáře budoucího vývoje (pozitivní a negativní prognózy) a možná řešení vznikajících ekonomických problémů.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to consider the reasons for the occurrence of sanctions and to assess the impact of the applied sanctions against Russia and its counter - sanctions on the economy and quality of life of the Russian population. In addition, we need to assess the effectiveness of the application of sanctions from a historical perspective in order to understand whether sanctions are indeed an effective tool and whether states use them to achieve their policy objectives. In the first chapter I described the theory of sanctions and the history of their origin, I also described their classification and studied specific types of sanctions in the history and purpose of their application. In the second chapter, I will look at the root causes of sanctions against Russia and their consequences. In the third chapter, which is designed as a case study, I conducted a survey of changes in the quality of life of Russians and their consumption patterns in order to assess the damage caused by sanctions against the Russian population. In the final chapter, scenarios of future development (positive and negative forecasts) and possible solutions to emerging economic problems were considered.
