Application possibilities of remote sensing in monitoring of agricultural landscape

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce popisuje vývoj silně zemědělsky využívané krajiny obce Šardice a propojuje tak informace zdejších přírodních poměrů, poměry socioekonomické s důrazem na historický vývoj obce a také na environmentální opatření zaváděné do zdejší krajiny. Následně práce využívá kartografické metody s využitím možností DPZ. Jako zdroj dat byla využita volně dostupná data mise Sentinel-2, snímky misí Landsat 5,8 a snímky bezpilotního systému Trinity F9. Práce srovnává využívání několika spektrálních vegetačních indexů a určuje jejich vhodnost a definuje, které indexy jsou vhodnější pro kultivované krajiny s heterogenním zastoupením typů využívání krajiny, dále ukazuje jejich silné či slabé stránky. Pro historický vývoj krajiny a antropogenní změny byly využity historické prameny a mapy land use pro období 1836-1852, 1876-1880, 1953–1957, 1988-1995 a 2002-2006. Výsledkem práce je komplexní zhodnocení krajiny a její proměny. V konečné fázi, na podkladech snímků s vyšším prostorovým rozlišením byla zhodnocena místní ekologická opatření.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis describes the development of the agricultural landscape of the Šardice village, describes physical-geographical, socio-economic factors with emphasis on historical development of the landscape and environmental measures, created in this local agricultural landscape. The thesis uses cartographic methods of using remote sensing. As a source, this thesis uses free open data sources of space mission Sentinel-2, missions of Landsat 5,8 and images of the unmanned aerial vehicle named Trinity F9. The thesis compares the use of several spectral vegetation indices for the determination of their suitability and defines which indices are more suitable for cultivated landscapes with different land-use types, also defines their strengths and weaknesses. Historical sources and maps of land use of the following years: 1836-1852, 1876-1880, 1953–1957, 1988-1995 and 2002-2006, were used to complete this thesis. The result of this work is a comprehensive evaluation of the landscape and landscape changes. On the images with the higher spatial resolution were evaluated local ecological measures.
