Multidisciplinary Palliative Care in Healthcare Organizations in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zjistit, jak funguje multidisciplinární paliativní péče ve zdravotnických zařízeních se zaměřením na dlouhodobou či následnou péči z pohledu koordinátorů nebo vedoucích paliativních týmů. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny pojmy související s tématem, jako jsou koncepce paliativní péče, její vývoj a současná situace v České republice. Výzkumná část je zaměřena na konkrétní zdravotnická zařízení, která tuto péči ve spolupráci s Nadačním fondem Avast zavedla, a doplňuje tak teoretickou část o zkušenosti odborníků s poskytováním této péče.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to find out how multidisciplinary palliative care works in healthcare facilities with a focus on long-term or follow-up care from the perspective of coordinators or leaders of palliative teams. In the theoretical part, the concepts related to the topic, such as palliative care concepts, its development and the current situation in the Czech Republic are presented. The research part is focused on specific health care facilities, which introduced this care in cooperation with the Avast Endowment Fund, and thus completes the theoretical part with the experience of professionals providing this care.
