Tato práce se zabývá tématem síťových technologií. Práce je rozdělena do deseti částí. První část popisuje OSI model, který popisuje jednotlivé vrstvy počítačové sítě. Druhá část se zabývá uspořádáním počítačové sítě neboli topologií, která definuje zapojení počítačové sítě.
