Religious terrorism in Europe in the second decade of the 21st. century

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o náboženském terorismu s ohledem na uprchlickou krizi v druhé dekádě 21. století v Evropě. Jako první vymezuje základní pojmy spojené s terorismem. Dále se věnuje teroristickým skupinám, či jednotlivců, kteří stále vymýšlí nové způsoby, jak zaskočit vlády po celém světě svými teroristickými útoky. Tito radikálové však nedisponují pouze zbraněmi, ale taky technikou potřebnou pro vynikající propagandu a následnou radikalizaci nejen lidí muslimského vyznání či obyvatel Blízkého východu, nýbrž také lidí žijících v demokratických státech západního světa. Uprchlické krize a migrace lidí z Blízkého východu a Severní Afriky přispívá k nelegální migraci, která je spjatá s teroristickými útoky po celé Evropě. S těmito tématy je spjat cíl práce, který si klade za cíl zjistit záměr teroristické propagandy a vliv uprchlické krize, která se váže k terorismu v Evropě během let 2011 až 2020. Práce je podložena fakty a studiemi odborníků, kteří své myšlenky předávají pomocí knih uvedených na konci této práce. V této práci bylo dosaženo zjištění, že s migračními vlnami přichází do Evropy i vyšší riziko teroristických útoků. Dále bylo zjištěno, že problémovou skupinou nejsou jen nově příchozí, ale i druhá a třetí generace dětí uprchlíků a migrantů co se zde na evropské půdě již narodila. Velký vliv zde hraje špatná úroveň integrace a pocit, že nikam nepatří (necítí se ani jako Evropan, ale ani jako občan státu, ze kterého pochází jeho rodiče). V poslední řadě bylo zjištěno, že velký vliv zde hrají sociální sítě a internet, které se staly volně přístupnou cestou k naverbování nových bojovníků právě teroristickými skupinami.

Abstract:

This paper discusses religious terrorism in the light of the refugee crisis in the second decade of the 21st century in Europe. It first defines the basic concepts associated with terrorism. It then looks at terrorist groups or individuals who are constantly devising new ways to take governments around the world by surprise with their terrorist attacks. These radicals, however, not only possess weapons, but also the technology needed for excellent propaganda and the subsequent radicalisation not only of people of Muslim faith or Middle Easterners, but also of people living in the democratic states of the Western world. The refugee crisis and the migration of people from the Middle East and North Africa are contributing to illegal migration, which is linked to terrorist attacks across Europe. Linked to these themes is the aim of this thesis, which aims to establish the intent of terrorist propaganda and the impact of the refugee crisis that is linked to terrorism in Europe during 2011 to 2020. The thesis is supported by facts and studies by experts who convey their ideas through the books listed at the end of this thesis. This thesis has reached the conclusion that with migration waves comes a higher risk of terrorist attacks in Europe. It has also been found that the problem group is not only the new arrivals, but also the second and third generation of children of refugees and migrants already born on European soil. The poor level of integration and the feeling that they do not belong anywhere (they do not feel like Europeans, nor do they feel like citizens of their parents' country of origin) play a big role here. Lastly, it has been found that social networks and the internet, which have become a freely accessible way for terrorist groups to recruit new fighters, play a major role.
