Treponema pallidum ssp. a Leptospira ssp. jsou bakterie patřící do rodiny spirochét. V obou skupinách lze nalézt významné lidské patogeny (původce syfilis a leptospirózy). Treponema pallidum ssp. and Leptospira ssp. are bacteria belonging to the phylum of Spirochetes, and both genera comprise important human pathogens that can cause the diseases syphilis (Treponema) and leptospirosis (Leptospira).
