The first phase in the development of prosaic work by Milan Kundera

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o Milanu Kunderovi a zejména jeho prozaické tvorbě. Práce se nejprve soustředí na autorův život, na začátky jeho tvorby až po jeho emigraci do Francie. Stěžejní je zde období mezi lety 1960 - 1970. Detailněji jsou zde rozebrána díla, která vznikla v tomto období a řadí se k nejvýznamnějším dílům autora. V druhé části se práce snaží charakterizovat Kunderův osobitý styl, to jak on sám vnímá prózu a jaké konkrétní prvky používá při psaní. V poslední kapitole se dozvídáme, jací čeští autoři tvoří v této konkrétní dekádě, zda se nějak vzájemně ovlivňují a také jaké jsou ohlasy na Kunderovu tvorbu.

Abstract:

This thesis is about Milan Kundera and especially about his prosaic work. The beginning of this thesis focuses on author's life, the start of his career until his emigration to France. The most important is the period between years 1960 - 1970. The works that were made during this period of time and some of his most successful ones are discussed here in more detail. The second part of the thesis is trying to characterize author's authentic style, his own view on the prose and what concrete tricks he uses during writing. In the last chapter we learn more about other czech authors who wrote in this specific decade, if they somehow influence each other and also what are the reviews of Kundera and his work.
