Special pedagogical intervention as part of the education of persons with dementia

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá speciálně-pedagogickou intervencí u seniorů trpících demencí, kteří se nacházejí v institucích sociální péče. Výzkum byl realizován v roce 2016 a trval jeden rok. Teoretická část popisuje samotnou demenci a demenci při Parkinsonově chorobě. Následně je v této části zmíněno také o tzv. pomáhajících profesích, které se mohou u této skupiny klientů plnohodnotně uplatňovat. Empirická část pak popisuje výsledky samotné intervence, kde byly porovnávány výsledky mezi experimentální a kontrolní skupinou. Vždy se jednalo o porovnávání výsledku vstupního vyšetření (pretest) a následně pak výstupního (posttest). Stejně tak jsme pak porovnávali výsledky mezi pretest a posttestem. Z výsledků, které zde prezentujeme je tak patrný fakt, že se experimentální skupina mírně zlepšila oproti skupině kontrolní, která obvykle stagnovala ve svých výsledcích, popř. se mírně bodově zhoršila. K intervenci jsme využili jak klasických metod speciální pedagogiky, např. cvičební text pro rozvoj jemné motoriky apod., tak také informačních a komunikačních technologií (např. tablet).

Abstract:

The thesis deals with special-educational interventions for elderly people with dementia who are in social care institutions. Research was conducted in 2016 and lasted for one year. The theoretical part describes itself dementia and Parkinson's disease. Subsequently, this section also mentioned the so-called. Helping professions that may be in this group of clients fully applied. Empirical part describes the results of the intervention itself, where the results were compared between the experimental and control groups. It was always comparing the results of the entrance examination (pretest) and subsequently output (posttest). Likewise, we then compared the results between the pretest and posttest. From the results, we present here is not so obvious fact that the experimental group improved slightly compared to the control group, which generally stagnated in their results, respectively. slightly worse spot.
