Women's attitude towards hormonal contraception

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce má snahu objasnit postoj žen tří věkových skupin k antikoncepci. Dnešní doba nabízí velmi široký výběr antikoncepčních metod a pro uživatelky jistě není jednoduché se v této oblasti orientovat. Je proto důležité, aby lékaři čí porodní asistentky byli schopni pomoci ženám s výběrem pro ně vhodné metody antikoncepce. Zdá se, že v posledních letech ženy pomalu opouštějí oblíbené pilulky hormonální kontracepce a to často z důvodu obav, jak syntetické hormony, působí na jejich organismus. Snahou průzkumu bude právě zjistit, jak se názor a postoj k antikoncepci mění napříč věkovými skupinami, ale také jak si antikoncepci ženy vybíraly. Teoretická část seznamuje v první kapitole s antikoncepcí obecně a s jejím postupným vývojem jednotlivých metod, nachází se zde přehled druhů nyní dostupných možností zabránění početí, a nakonec popisuje jejich spolehlivost.Druhá kapitola se zabývá samotnými postoji žen k antikoncepci, a to hlavně k hormonálním metodám. Praktická část referuje o výsledcích průzkumu, o postojích a zkušenostech respondentek s antikoncepcí a jejich zhodnocení. Ve vzorku respondentek bylo 159 žen ve věkových skupinách 15-21 let, 22-31 let a 32-45 let. Průzkum probíhal formou anonymního dotazníkového šetření. Dotazník obsahuje 22 otázek, z toho je 16 otázek uzavřených a 6 polozavřených.

Abstract:

The purpose of this Bachelor's thesis is to clarify attitudes in women of three age categories to hormonal contraception, and also to contraception in general. Nowadays offers a wide choice of contraceptive methods, and for users it is surely not easy to navigate this area. So, it is important that doctors or midwives are able to help women with appropriate choices of contraceptive methods. It seems, that in the last few years women are slowly leasing their favorite pills of hormonal contraception due to concerns of how synthetic hormones affect their bodies. The effort of research will be to find out, how the opinions and attitudes to contraception are changing across the age groups, and also how women chose contraception. The theoretical part introduced in the first chapter is about contraception in general and with it's gradual development of individual methods, here is located an overview of the types of currently available options of the prevention of conceptionand eventually describing their reliability. The second chapter deals with the actual attitudes of women to contraception and especially to hormonal methods. The practical part reports the results of research, about attitudes and experiences of the respondents using contraception and their rating. In a sample of respondents was 159 women in age categories of 15-21 years, 22-31 years and 32-45 years. Research was carried out in a form of an anonymous questionnaire survey. The questionnaire contains 22 questions, of which 16 questions are closed and 6 are half-closed.
