Language Competencies of Pupils with Impaired Communication Ability in Foreign Language Teaching

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou jazykových kompetencí u žáků s narušenou komunikační schopností z hlediska výuky anglického jazyka. Práce se skládá z části teoretické a empirické, které jsou dále rozděleny do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola vymezuje problematiku komunikace, narušené komunikační schopnosti a podpůrných opatření pro žáky s narušenou komunikační schopností v České republice a ve vybraných zahraničních zemích. Druhá kapitola se věnuje charakteristice žáka základní školy, kognitivním procesům žáka mladšího školního věku a také podpůrnému systému v České republice. Třetí kapitola popisuje kurikulární dokumenty, jazykové kompetence a také metody a přístupy využívané ve výuce cizího jazyka. Čtvrtá kapitola představující empirickou část práce popisuje výzkumné šetření kvalitativního charakteru. K získání dat je využito techniky analýzy výsledků činnosti, zúčastněného pozorování a polostrukturovaného rozhovoru.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of language competencies of pupils with impaired communication ability in terms of teaching English. The work consists of theoretical and empirical parts, which are further divided into four chapters. The first chapter defines the issues of communication, impaired communication skills and support measures for pupils with impaired communication skills in the Czech Republic and selected foreign countries. The second chapter deals with the characteristics of a primary school pupil, the cognitive processes of a younger school-age pupil and also the support system in the Czech Republic. The third chapter describes curricular documents, language competencies as well as methods and approaches used in foreign language teaching. The fourth chapter presenting the empirical part of the work describes a research investigation of a qualitative nature. Techniques of analysis of activity results, participatory observation and semi-structured interview are used to obtain data.
