Abstract:
Jednobuneční eukariotičtí paraziti rodu Leishmania jsou zodpovědní za heterogenní skupinu onemocnění nazývaných "leishmaniózy". Paraziti jsou šířeni pískovcem rodu Phlebotomus ve Starém světě a rodem Lutzomyia v Novém světě. Unicellular eukaryotic parasites of the genus Leishmania are responsible for a heterogeneous group of diseases called leishmaniasis. The parasites are spread by sandflies of the genus Phlebotomus in the Old World, and of the genus Lutzomyia in the New World.
