Evaluation of the company financial situation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se soustředí na 3 hlavní oblasti finančního řízení podniku, a to konkrétně v kontextu 2 let ovlivněných pandemií Covid-19 a s tím související ekonomickou krizí. První částí je finanční analýza podnikových výkazů, která poskytuje vhled do toho, jak má podnik finance nastavené a jak efektivně mu tato strategie vychází. K tomuto účelu bude použita poměrová analýza, která poskytne základní informace, které následně budou dále zhodnoceny skrze různé indexy, jako například Altmanův index, nebo Beermanova diskriminační funkce. Druhá část se soustředí na komparativní analýzu nefinančních investic za pomocí nástrojů jako čistá současná hodnota a vnitřní výnosové procento. Poslední část sestává z rozpočtování finančních výkazů na dva roky (2023 a 2024), do kterého bude promítnut efekt zvolené investice z části dvě. Celkový výstup práce je pak zhodnocení efektivity implementace zvolené investice a její efekt na finanční situaci podniku v průběhu následujících let.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on three main areas of corporate financial management, specifically in the context of two years affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the related economic crisis. The first part is a financial analysis of corporate statements, which provides insight into how the business has set up its finances and how effectively this strategy is working out. For this purpose, ratio analysis will be used, which will provide basic information that will subsequently be further evaluated through various indexes, such as Altman's index or Beerman's discriminant function. The second part focuses on the comparative analysis of non-financial investments using tools such as net present value and internal rate of return. The last part consists of budgeting of financial statements for two years (2023 and 2024), into which the effect of the chosen investment from part two will be reflected. The overall output of the work is then an assessment of the efficiency of the chosen investment's implementation and its effect on the financial situation of the business in the following years.
