Modulation possibilities of cytokine IL-6 signal transduction in prostate epithelial cells
Abstract:
Chronic inflammation is important factor in initiation and progression of prostatic pathologies including benign hyperplasia and cancer. Proinflammatory cytokine IL-6 triggers immune response and regulates complex of cellular processes. IL-6 activates multiple prosurvival signaling pathways including JAK/STAT, Ras/ERK, PI3K/AKT. Chronický zápal je dôležitým faktorom pri vzniku a rozvoji ochorení prostaty, vrátane benígnej hyperplázie a adenokarcinómu. Prezápalový cytokín IL-6 spúšťa imunitnú odpoveď a zúčastňuje sa na regulácii mnohých bunkových procesov. IL-6 aktivuje viaceré premitogénne signálne dráhy - JAK/STAT, Ras/ERK a PI3K/AKT.
