This work is about the study of the connotation of idiomatic expressions containing the names of colors that exist in Present-Day English. Tato práce se zabývá studiem konotace idiomatických výrazů obsahujících názvy barev, které existují v současné angličtině. Pro tento výzkum byly vybrány idiomy obsahující názvy teplých barev (červená, žlutá, oranžová, hnědá) a idiomy obsahující názvy studených barev (zelená, modrá, fialová a šedá).
