Cryotherapy Procedure and its Usefulness for Athletes and General Public

Abstract:

Diplomová práce by měla být první publikací obsahující ucelené základní informace o revoluční metodě zvaná kryoterapie. Práce popisuje vhodnou formou její historii a rozvoj. Seznámí čtenáře s významem celotělové chladové terapie, průběhem procedury a podá další hodnotné rady. Dále se zabývá tradičními regeneračními technikami, které jsou nejčastěji využívány sportovci a širokou veřejností. V závěru podává srovnání těchto metod, kde vyzdvihuje klady a zápory. Výzkumná činnost probíhala v nově vzniklém poláriu v Hradci Králové. Výzkum byl zaměřen na strukturu klientů, jejich pocity po a při proceduře. Zaměřil se také na přínos této netradiční metody regenerace a rehabilitace na zdraví klientů. Výzkum potvrdil, ale i vyvrátil hypotézy, které byly před zahájením výzkumu předpokládány.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis should be the first comprehensive publication containing basic information about a revolutionary method called cryotherapy. This work describes the appropriate form, its history and progression. It apprises readers with importance of the whole-body cryotherapy, process of procedure and give further valuable advices. It also deals with traditional regeneration and rehabilitation techniques, which are frequently used by athletes and the general public. In the end it gives a comparison of these methods, which highlights pros and cons. Research activities were conducted in the newly established cryotherapy center in Hradec Kralove. The research focuses on the structure of clients, their feelings during and after a procedure. It also focused on the benefits of traditional methods of health restoration of clients. The research confirmed, but also refuted hypotheses, prior research suggested.
