Analysis of non-formal education in Slovakia

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis “Analysis of non-formal education in Slovakia” is the complex analysis of the historical development and the current state of non-formal education in Slovakia. In the first chapter the author characterizes and specifies non-formal education in its historical context and defines its theoretical foundations. The key and central part is based on the analysis of the selected time periods in the area of the strategic policy, legislative framework and tools for an official recognition of non-formal education. The last chapter is focused on the specific user group of non-formal education – students and recent graduates of higher education, where the author conducts the analysis of their unemployment as well as the interconnection between the education system and the labour market. This thesis includes also a set of recommendations and suggested changes in the examined area of non-formal education in Slovakia.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce „Analýza neformálního vzdělávání na Slovensku“ je komplexná analýza historického vývoja a súčasného stavu neformálneho vzdelávania v SR. V úvodnej časti autorka charakterizuje a špecifikuje neformálne vzdelávanie v historickom kontexte a vymedzuje jeho teoretické východiská. Ťažisko práce tvorí analýza vybraných období v oblasti strategickej politiky, legislatívneho rámca a nástrojov oficiálneho uznávania neformálneho vzdelávania. V závere sa práca sústreďuje na konkrétnu skupinu užívateľov neformálneho vzdelávania – študentov a absolventov VŠ, kde sa zaoberá ich nezamestnanosťou a previazanosťou vzdelávacieho systému s trhom práce. Súčasť práce tvoria i odporúčania a navrhované zmeny v oblasti neformálneho vzdelávania na Slovensku.
